There are few organizations in America committed to the revitalization of an entire community and fewer with the results to demonstrate success. Here at the Harlem Children’s Zone, 95% of our children ages 0-3 have health insurance, nearly 100% of our four-year old children are testing school ready for kindergarten each year, our elementary school children eliminated the black-white achievement gap in mathematics, and nearly 500 HCZ youth are enrolled in college, a number growing by the hundreds each year.

We keep ourselves accountable to the 10,000 children we serve each year and importantly to our supporters. For the 8th consecutive year, HCZ has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, a distinction less than 1% of charities are given and a testament to our organizational efficiency.
